Let me walk with the Dodo

A Dodo does not dance with a man

But sometimes he will check if he can...

Dead as a Dodo as the saying goes,

Something that you and I both know

But what did he die of, of what mighty foe?

I wonder…

If the Dodo had a strong sense of human ethics

He was a big bird, but rather cool

I think the only disease that he died of was being the eternal fool

I wonder…

If the Dodo was a bit silly trusting Man

Rather inquisitive he should've known,
He was damned, to be soon ousted to heaven, or be overthrown.

I wonder…

Yes… no more I say! For the Dodo was past his day-

Now he waits for Man to achieve the distinction

To soon join him when doomsday calls with his own extinction!
